Membership is the responsibility of EVERY member.
The strength of the Marine Corps League is built on the commitment, participation, and pride of its members. Whether you served in uniform, support those who did, or represent a business standing with Marines, there is a place for you in our mission.
Membership Classifications:
Regular Member – Open to honorably discharged Marines and qualified FMF Navy personnel
Associate Member – Supporters of the League (non-voting; cannot hold elective office, but can be appointed in non-trustee boardmember roles such as historian, paymaster, adjutant and quartermaster.)
Honorary Member – Recognized individuals; not listed on the Detachment roster and do not count toward voting strength
Member at Large – Members not affiliated with a specific detachment
Honorary Active-Duty Member (Section 7015a) – Active-duty Marines recognized by the League
Corporate Member (Section 7015b) – Businesses committed to supporting the Marine Corps community
Life Member (Section 7050) – Long-term commitment to the League through lifetime membership
Dual Membership (Section 7060) – Members affiliated with more than one detachment
Every member plays a role. Every role strengthens the mission.
Membership in the Marine Corps League is open to all honorably serving or honorably discharged Marines and FMF Navy Personnel who have served alongside Marines.
Steps to Join:
Regular and Life Members Eligibility – Confirm you meet membership requirements (DD-214 or current military ID required).
Application – Fill out the Marine Corps League membership application form. Forms are available at our monthly meetings or can be requested via email. The button below will open a form you can fill out and print to bring to the next meeting.
Submit – Bring your application and proof of service to our next meeting or send electronically.
Welcome Aboard – Once processed, you’ll be sworn in at a meeting and officially welcomed as a member of Detachment 1124.
Dues – Submit your annual dues (set by National MCL, Department of Florida, and the Detachment).
Where to Apply:
We meet at Zephyrhills VFW Post 8154, 3954 Paul S. Buchman Hwy, Zephyrhills, FL on the last Tuesday of each month. You can bring your completed application to any meeting.
